Lock Haven, PA- Racing is set to resume Friday September 20th at the 3/8th mile Clinton County Motor Speedway. On the three division card are the Millers Automotive Machine pro stocks, Weaver’s Radiator & Auto Sales 270 micro sprints and Gary’s Motor Mart/Laurel Highlands IMCA sprint cars. Gates open at 5 P.M. with racing set for 7:30. Fans and competitors can expect an exciting night of action.
The nights activities are sponsored by Keystone Rail Recovery Services of Jersey Shore, PA. The company specializes in relay and scrap railroad materials. The firm purchases, sorts, refurbishes and returns suitable rail to railroads. Unusable product is recycled for scrap use in steel making production. The night’s racing activities are highlighted by the Keystone 40 for pro stocks. A unique, common set of rules has been drawn up to allow all area pro/street stock racers to compete. There will be both time trials and heat races. The winning driver of the A-Main earns $ 1,500. There’s increased purse throughout the field.
The brainchild of pro stock racer Kevin VanAmburg and others, it’s hoped this will be be the first of many Keystone 40 special events.
