Lock Haven, PA- The month of June promises to be busy at Clinton County Motor Speedway. Two traveling late model series visit the raceway along with the track’s regular Friday night racing program.
Action begins June 7 when the Mason Dixon Shoot Out Series for limited late model racers invade the 3/8th mile oval. The popular circuit features many of the Mid Atlantic States future stars. The group will meet a tough contingent of local racers led by CCMS regulars, Mike Smith, Kevin Probst, JR Toner, Joe Lusk, Luke Hoffner, Matt Cochran, Gary Mellott and others. Devin Hart, a frequent speedway competitor, will be tough as he is fresh off a victory May 31st, stopping Jim Yoder’s two race winning streak.Yoder is the elder statesman of the family and outsiders will also battle the rest of the “Nation” as Andrew and Dylan Yoder are capable of winning every time they’re at the fairgrounds speed plant. It should be a great night of action for the Smith Excavating & Construction sponsored division.
Limited late model action isn’t the only racing on the June 7 card. The Weaver’s Radiator & Auto Sales/Jay Coder Excavating & Trucking 270 micro sprints offer a strong field of top notch racers. The 270’s are joined by the TJ Shooters Sports Bar FWD 4 cylinder stock cars and 600 micro sprints.
June 14 the Gary’s Motor Mart/Laurel Highlands IMCA sprint cars and Millers Automotive Machine Shop pro stocks return to competition. The limited late model, 270 & 600 micro sprints are also in action. Ken Duke of Selinsgrove scored an impressive sprint car victory during May 31 racing action. AY Schilling and Ray Rothfuss have won pro stock mains so far.
June 21 action includes Limited Late Model’s, pro stocks, 270 & 600 micro sprints and 4 cylinder stock cars.
The month concludes with a bang June 28. The Northeast Ultimate Super Late Model Series makes make their first appearance at the speedway. The travelers have experienced numerous rain outs this spring.
2018 champion and, current point leader Jared Miley, lead a talented group of drivers to the 3/8th mile oval. Dave Hess won the most recent event during the Memorial Day weekend. Drivers that have competed in NEULMS action include Boom Briggs, Chub Frank, Dave Scott, Dale McDowell, Jimmy Owens, Gregg Satterlee, Jamie Lathroum, Mason Zeigler, Gary Stuhler, Rick Eckert and Dylan Yoder who is past winner with the travelers. Central PA’s best are expected to challenge including Waylon Wagner, Dan Stone, Coleby Frye, Jason Covert, Jim, Dylan and, Andrew Yoder plus others. Additional details will be announced as this race approaches.

Fans are reminded the speedway grounds are open for camping during all races. Camp sites with water and electric are available at a cost of twenty five dollars a night. An on site dumping facility is available at no addfitional chanrge.
