Keystone 40 Pro Stock Rules & Procedures For September 20, 2019!

The Keystone 40 pro stock event scheduled for Friday September 20 is quickly approaching. Sponsored by Keystone Rail Recovery Services of Jersey Shore, the nights activities promise plenty of excitement. The Millers Automotive Machine pro stocks are expected to be challenged by the area’s best invaders in the $ 1,500 to win, 40 lap feature event. The stock cars are joined by the Weaver’s Radiator & Auto Sales/Jay Coder Excavating & Trucking 270 micro sprints plus the Gary’s Motor Mart/Laurel Highlands IMCA sprint cars. Gates open at 5 pm with racing set for 7:30. Keystone Rail Recovery organizers and speedway Race Director Steve Campbell have announced the rules for the pro stock portion of the program and are included below. Chassis: Chassis must have stock front clip. Must follow CCMS engine set back rule. Strut Cars allowed. Stock configuration rear suspension (Metric 4 link or leaf spring) with 1 shock, 1 spring per wheel. No Coil overs or coil over eliminators, no Panhard bars, pull bars or lift bars. No Quick Change rear ends.

Tires/Wheels: Any 8″ tire and 8″ Steel wheel.

Engine: Any production type cast iron block/head engine. No Aluminum Blocks or Aluminum Heads. No Dry Sump systems. One gauge legal 4412 2bbl ONLY. Holley XP is legal. 4bbl allowed on GM sealed 602 crate motor. RUSH or DIRT sealed Crates must run 2bbl. Hidden Valley, Hummingbird, Thunder Mountain (Pa) Pure Stocks are allowed to run 4bbl if they are following the rest of their home track rules. Gas ONLY!! No Alcohol!!

Transmission: Any transmission allowed, must have working reverse.

Body: 5″ Max spoiler. Spoiler sides no higher than spoiler and no longer than 14″. No Wings, Extreme Sail Panels or Sideboards allowed. Safety: Fuel cells mandatory. 4-point racing harness mandatory must be 2014 or newer. SFI rated drivers’ suit is mandatory. Full face helmet with face shield is mandatory.

Race Format:
Pill draw for TT order.

Heat races will be lined up based on TT order no invert. Heat will pay $100 to winner.

20 drivers will transfer to the A Feature based on heat finish and B Feature finishes. A Feature re-draw will follow normal CCMS rules based on car count (No winner penalty).

The 21st starter in the A Feature will be the non-qualifier that is highest in the final CCMS Pro Stock Points.

If more than 30 cars are participating a separate non-qualifier race will be run for all cars that did not transfer to the A Feature. The winner of the non-qualifier race will have the option to take a $150 pay out or start the 22nd in the A Feature. If winner passes on starting the A Feature only 21 cars will start the A Feature.

If less than 30 cars are participating, no non-qualifier race will be run. The 22nd position will be the non-qualifier that was the fastest in TT’s.
