Lock Haven, PA- The final two weekends of May promise plenty of action at Clinton County Motor Speedway.
After a successful season opener May 17, the 3/8th mile speed plant returns to action Friday May 24 with six feature events planned. The Smith’s Excavation & Construction limited late models headline spring championship night. Also in competition are the Weaver’s Radiator & Auto Repair/Jay Coder Excavating &Trucking 270 micro sprints, Millers Automotive Machine Shop pro stocks, 600 micro sprints and TJ Shooters Sports Bar FWD 4 cylinder stock cars. The pro stocks compete in two feature events after having their May 17 race postponed due to curfew. Gates open at 5 pm with warm-ups set for 6:45. The first green flag on the make-up pro stock feature gets under way at 7:15.
Coming Friday May 31 is the biggest limited late model race ever presented by Promoter Sam Wray. The Nittany 40 is presented by TC Transport of Bellefonte, PA. Time trials will be utilized along with heat races. The winning driver receives $ 2,500 dollars. There’s increased purse through out the field. Starting the A Main is worth $ 200. Also on the card are the Gary’s Motor Mart/Laurel Highlands IMCA sprint cars, 270 and 600 micro sprints. Race time is 7:30. Gates open at 5. Warm-ups start at 7.
